The Dress

This elegant Baccini & Hill gown is ready for a new home!

This ivory coloured gown has a romantic sweetheart neckline and an a-line skirt, which is very flattering for most body shapes, The dress has a fully structured bodice to keep you secure but was so incredibly comfortable to wear.

The look of the dress is romantic/classic, with intricate beading under the bust and folded tulle for added interest across the bust. Flowing from the bust is a lace over-lay which contributes to the on-trend whimsical country-chic style of this dress. The bottom of this over-lay features a gorgeous lace hem. There is a hidden zip fastening at the back, with a line of false buttons over the top of this. The train in medium in length, which looks spectacular for photos and the aisle walk, but is easy to bustle up for easy movement later in the night.

All alterations were all done by the talented Baccini & Hill girls, and include the creation of the sweetheart neckline, hem taken up by a few cm, and inclusion of a bustle so you can hitch the dress up for dancing! The Baccini & Hill seamstresses knew that I intended to re-sell at some point, and so have left the altered material as intact as possible (which means it can be let out if necessary).

This dress would fit a size 10-12. I have an ‘hourglass’ figure and the dress was incredibly flattering to my figure. My measurements at the time were: height of 175 cm (no heels worn); bust of 86 cm, under bust of 78 cm, waist of 73 cm and hips of 90 cm.

The dress is in excellent condition, with no damage whatsoever (marks, stains, rips etc). I had the dress professional dry-cleaned (can provide receipt if required) and now resides in its original Baccini & Hill gown bag.

Worn in October 2012, it has taken nearly a year to gather the courage to sell this timeless gown, but I would love for another bride to feel as special as I as I did on my wedding day. I love this gown so much and it is the extra level of detail that makes it ‘the one’! I am more than happy to provide extra photos or answer any questions you may have about this spectacular gown.
