The Dress
Jenny Packham strapless wedding gown, Ivory, 100% silk & organza. Full layered skirt, floaty and flowing, with a slight train.
Size 12 (UK). Worn once.
Bought from wedding boutique The Mews in Clifton Village, Bristol, UK and transported to Australia for our September 2013 wedding in Byron Bay. Dress is a UK size 12, but I was a UK size 8-10 when I wore it which converts roughly to an AU size 10-12. The only alterations made were to the hem; I am 5 ft 5 and wore a medium heel.
The bodice is a boned, hook-and-eye corset; it does however have a very light and floaty feel, and is not too heavy, hot or restrictive.
There are some very slight imperfections on the hem due to wear-and-tear on the day, but these are extremely small and completely unnoticeable without getting down on hands and knees and searching for them. I have taken pictures of these and would be happy to provide them.
The dress was originally bought for £2200, which is approx. $4000.
