Confetti Sequins Beaded Bodice & Silk Satin Gown

This Collette Dinnigan gown is the most spectacular piece and a wedding dress dream come true. For me it evoked a 1920s vintage style that I adore and that I felt suited our wedding beautifully.

I hope someone else can enjoy it as much as I did, it was the most gorgeous dress to wear on my special day. I am only selling it because I will not wear it again and it deserves another life outside the cupboard.

This dress was purchased for our wedding in August 2013 from the Collette Dinnigan store in Woollahra, Sydney. I am a size 12 to 14 and the dress is a size Large. The only alteration was to take it up by approximately 5cm. At the time that the dress was taken up, the dressmaker added a button on the inside of the back of the dress which meant the small train could be hitched up for dancing. I am approx 169cm tall and I wore high heels, and you can see from the photo it is still sweeping the ground.

The gown is made from a beautiful heavy silk. You can see on the very skinny model that it falls from the waist down. It was more fitted on me.

There is a zip at the back and 2 beaded buttons near the nape of the neck to do up the beaded top. The top is attached to the silk gown at the waist.

The dress has been dry cleaned by Impress Dry Cleaning in Bondi. The Dry Cleaners were Collette Dinnigan's preferred supplier. The hem of the dress was marked from the ground and from walking around in it all day but after a $570 dry cleaning bill, it is back to excellent condition.
