The Dress

My dress was custom designed by renowned English designer Susan Neville as I was living in the UK at the time. I was very particular about having a gown that was floaty, romantic looking but not over the top and had a drop waist.

The main fabric is very soft tulle with a satin crepe lining and light weight corset and cups within. I chose buttons down the back for an elegant look. The overall look of the gown is crisp white.

The satin and two layers of tulle fall longer at the back to create a subtle train and comes with a ribbon tie to adjust for dancing. I had a crystal belt on the day as you will see in some of the images but I wish to retain this along with my veil as a keepsake. There is a delicate french lace belt already on the dress. I also had a petticoat made (back in Australia) that I wore on the day to create a little more fullness in the skirt however this is not essential and is available if so desired. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned.

I am 168cm in height and wore 2.5 inch shoes on the day (other measurements are: Bust: 34inch - 34a cup size Waist: 29inch Hips: 37.5inch). Dress covered by feet so draped beautifully as I walked. Please note there is a small tear in the first tulle layer (one closest to the lining, did this following an excited bit of dancing I think!) that has been carefully repaired so it is invisible unless you really go looking - hence the reduction in sale price.
