AS NEW, CURRENT KWH COLLECTION. 'Maddie' truly was my dream gown and it is sad to say goodbye to such a devine piece of artwork. Karen Willis Holmes hand measured this gown to fit me herself and is truly a genius. The craftsmanship that goes into these handmade gowns is to be admired. 'Maddie' has a stunning lace strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline which is fitted to the waist and flows into a large circle skirt with 6 layers of delicate tulle and satin lining. Included for this price is the matching cathedral length veil made of the same delicate tulle as the skirt. It was Karen herself who recommended it as the most suitable veil for the gown.
I wore the gown with a hoop underneath to create volume and the desired full skirt I wanted. At the base of the bodice around the waist I wore an ivory satin sash tied in an elegant bow at the back creating a tied in elegantly finished effect. Both hoop skirt, and satin sash were purchased brand new from Karen Willis Holmes, have only been worn once and I am selling them with the gown.
Personally, I stand at 180cm tall and am normally a size 10-12. 'Maddie' would probably be a size 11 and fit me very comfortably. Of course, being heavily corseted the gown is variable for wether one prefers tighter or looser.
