San Patrick, Caribe

I knew this amazing dress was the one as soon as I tried it on! Gorgeous and traditional but a little bit different - the lace detailing allows it to have a vintage feel while still being modern, elegant and luxurious and definitely makes you feel like a princess. I had SO many compliments on it on the day - everyone loved it - most of all me! My husband's response - 'I knew it'd be nice, but I never expected it to be this amazing!'

Colour is Off White, Fabric is Taffeta with Lace applique detailing and tiny beading. Button up back with zip and clips inside. It's super comfortable to wear and holds you in. I wasn't hitching it up or fiddling with it at all. I wore hoops underneath to show off the asymmetrical gathering on the sides better. It just falls so incredibly and looks different from every angle. My favourite part is the interesting neckline which has a kind of ribbon or tie which crosses under the bust and sits flat on the front on an angle and has a layer of lace underneath. Not a typical strapless neckline because of these gorgeous details. (Hopefully you can see well in the photos) I didn't wear a necklace so I could show off the top of the dress - this dress really steals the show and speaks for itself. My bridesmaid's wore a one shoulder dress which followed the line of the ribbon on the front of mine which kind of points over the shoulder. (Just an idea of how to tie the 'look' together!)

Caribe model from San Patrick's 2011 Beauty Collection. I ordered it just before it was discontinued at the end of 2011 and it arrived the following May (2012) Was carefully stored until the wedding. Has only been worn once (March 2013). Only alterations were the hem very slightly and a loop added to the back to hook it up during the night so people didn't stand on it. Very well looked after, has been professionally hand dry cleaned straight after the wedding, and is in perfect condition.
