Clarissa Grace

This stunning modern-vintage dress was replicated by an incredibly talented Qld wedding dress maker, based on Clarissa Grace's Leaving for Paris. It is made from a beautiful ivory 100% silk-satin, with lining under the skirt to make it fall seamlessly from the hips. It features Paris-pleated silk chiffon ruffles around the front v-neck and low back, with matching, handmade silk chiffon flowers on the hip and in the hair (hip flower was removed for dry-cleaning purposes, although is easily hand-sewn back on. Hair flower also included). A thin, chiffon ribbon is also sewn on around the hips, the ends of which then fall almost to the floor from the hip flower.
The bodice is fully boned, with inbuilt bra cups (size B-C) to ensure a structured fit, while the back has a hidden lace-up to mould perfectly to your body. This then has a zip over the top, covered by fabric-covered buttons - it creates the illusion of being a button-up without the hassle of actually having to do them up!
The dress has a small puddle-train, which looks lovely for the ceremony/photos, and then has hidden ribbons under the skirt to allow it to be tied up later (concertina-style) for the reception. There is also a ribbon to slip over your wrist at the end of the train, so it doesn't drag on the ground in the interim.
I am 160cm tall and was wearing approximately 7cm heels. The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and boxed, and would fit approximately a size 8.
The actual Clarissa Grace dress was selling for $4500+ in stores, so this is an opportunity to get a beautiful design at a fraction of the cost.
It is a simply stunning dress that got so many comments on the day - I hope that someone else will enjoy wearing it as much as I did!
