The Dress

Standard size 12, corset-backed so could fit 10-14 comfortably. I am 174cm tall and wore 10cm heels, so still room to go up if you're a little more petite. It is extremely comfortable to wear, very light - especially for its size (and with a little practice, you can go to the bathroom unassisted.

You can wear the dress without a petticoat, but I found it gave the skirt a little more fullness, as well as keeping it off my legs (highly recommended for a summer bride!). I wore a single-hoop petticoat.

The fabric is gorgeous ivory silk, and has no staining. The black lace detail is beaded, any beads that came loose have been reattached. The rose on the hip is the same ivory silk with beading and a surround of black feathers. The corset tie is ivory silk too. It could be replaced with a black one if you wanted a more dramatic statement.

Alterations to original style:
- one of the 'leaves' on the shoulder was removed as it didn't quite sit right.
- The rose was originally on a brooch - I had it sewn to the dress on the day (the drycleaner removed it from the dress for cleaning so the feathers weren't ruined). It is separately wrapped and ready to be reattached if desired
- The bust was very slightly taken in on the left side (I'm a double-D so there's still plenty of room)
- There are three buttons with loops on the back to bustle the train. It sits beautifully up or down - instructions for bustling will be included. (I dont have any really good photos of the back - apologies)
