Description

A gorgeous silk-satin ivory dress with ruching and beautiful pewter beading detail. This was one of the first dresses I tried on and it immediately felt perfect. The sales lady commented how at ease and naturally I stood in it. The style of the dress is called 'New York Slinky' and it is the perfect balance of style, sexy and simplicity. I had no hesitation in buying it on the first day! This dress is extremely comfortable and I didn't have to constantly adjust throughout the day due to the in-built bust, corset support and shapely straps.

The dress has a V neckline with built in soft support in the bust. Ruching gathers the dress over the left hip with pewter beading providing a simple yet stylish bit of detail, drawing the eye and creating a beautiful shape. The amazing plunging back of the dress (my favourite part) is framed by thin straps which come together at the zip on the lower back. More beading detail and ruching around the zip create a tailored waist and shapely backside.

The way the dress is gathered and ruched, together with the quality of the fabric, means the dress falls so beautifully at the front and back. There is a small flowing train with a wrist band so it can be held up when dancing.

The dress was originally a size 8 and has had minor alterations to tailor it around the waist and bust, adjust the straps and hem for my height (170cm in my shoes).

The dress has been dry-cleaned and is professionally boxed up in tissue paper ready to go. Some small dirt marks remain at the very bottom of the hem which will not be noticeable when the dress is being worn. I'm happy to either ship anywhere (at buyer's cost) or arrange for collection in the ACT.
