Worn in March 2012, this dress is the current season Martina Liana wedding gown.

This dress was ordered as an AU size 14, US size 12. However, the gown has been altered to a size AU 10-12 as I lost weight from the time I ordered the dress to my wedding day. It has been brought in around the hips, thighs, waist, bottom and under the arms. Extra cups have been added into the bust. The gown hem has also been taken up, but without losing any length off the train.

I am 165cm tall and wore this dress with an 11cm high heel.

The back of the gown goes into a 'v' and has a zip which is hidden by the functional covered buttons. The train can be pulled up and attached by 3 buttons at the back of the gown, this does not effect the look of the gown/ruffles (see dancing picture). You do not need to wear a hoop with this dress as it has 2 layers of tulle underneath the skirt. The gown also comes with a sash belt (as pictured) which is fully detached from the dress.

The gown is simply stunning and is very unique in design. When I was looking for a dress, I did not find anything similar and feel it is one of a kind. The ruffles at the bottom of the dress are beautiful and offset the plain bodice top, a glamorous hollywood style that is very on trend at the moment.

If you have an hourglass figure this dress will look fantastic! I never thought I would wear this type of dress and was the complete opposite to what I pictured my wedding dress would look like! The tight fitting bodice was comfortable and very flattering.

Some of the ruffles on the bottom ruffle layer of the dress have frayed a little longer than the other ruffles. You would not notice this when you are wearing the gown as all the ruffles on the gown are slightly frayed on the edges (the look of the gown). If you wanted to repair the ruffles they could be removed (they are hand stitched on) and the longer fraying cut or if you needed to take up the hem of the dress, these ruffles would be removed.

I live in South East Melbourne and welcome interested brides to try the dress on. I also plan to get the gown dry cleaned. I love this dress and would love to keep it, but feel it would be a waste in my wardrobe and I am sure someone else will love it as much as I do!
