This divine gown is a beautiful silk satin dress covered with a lovely vintage lace overlay.
Perhaps her most unique feature is the soft three-tiered capped sleeves, which work beauifully when paired with sweet peas or lisianthus in bouquets.
As I am a curvacious size 10, the team at KWH kindly made pattern alts to accommodate a DD bust size including small clips to enable me to discreetly wear a bra under the dress. So many 'ready to wear' dresses only fit smaller busts!
The cut of the dress is also slightly more A line than the original pattern, to be more flattering over the hips and bottom. As such, while this dress is a 10, it is a roomy 10!
Instead of having a silk chiffon tie at the front with a flower feature, (which is how it appears on the Karen Willis Holmes website) I chose a wider satin band, tying at the back. But there are so many options of how you could treat the waist, which you can easily alter to make the gown uniquely yours!
This gown was worn for about 5 hours (mostly indoors) and is in very good condition - I had the lace train tied up in the bustle most of the night.
You will feel absolutely gorgeous in it!
