The Dress

Beautiful, timeless 1970's handmade vintage bridal gown.

This is a feminine and elegant a-line gown in a classical style - perfect for a Vintage/Boho loving bride, or it could be easily updated for a more contemporary twist.

This dress is a true testament to bygone eras where handcrafting and quality were things to treasure .

The high neck, bodice and arms of this beautiful dress are made up with a cream lace. The same lace adorns the bottom of the chiffon skirt, and there is a thick strip of lace around the waist. The gown is fastened by a concealed zip and two hook and eye fastenings at the waist.

This dress is in perfect condition. I bought it from a Vintage Bridal Boutique last year. I only wore it for a few hours on my wedding day in May (I had another more formal wedding dress too), but it has nonetheless been dry cleaned.

The chiffon on the skirt is sheer, and the lining is on the light side, so I wore it with a maxi slip (which I will throw in free of charge). The dress could equally be paired with a fuller petticoat to create more volume to the skirt.

The dress is a snug size 8, and was very flattering on the waist. I am 5ft 6 and wore it with flats, though it would look good with heels too.

I wore it with a flower crown, which really added to the Boho look.

I hope someone else gets to enjoy this dress as much as I did - it seems such a shame to keep it in a wardrobe forever.
