The Dress

This is a genuine, unaltered vintage 1940s wedding dress. It's made from a beautiful lace and is ivory / off white. It has a cute button detail down the front of the bodice, lovely full length sleeves and a small train. It also has a pretty little collar, which I had tucked in on these photos.

I was a small size 10 when I bought the dress but it could also fit a size 8 or I'm sure could be altered to fit a 12. I'm 5ft 5ish and the length is perfect for me when wearing medium heels.

I bought this beauty from boutique London vintage bridal shop Elizabeth Avey in Winter 2017/18. In the end, I didn't wear it for my August 2018 wedding as I felt it wasn't right for a mid-summer wedding. I therefore have had no alterations done to it and it is still hanging pretty in its garment bag waiting for the right lady to wear it for her special day.
