The Dress

This is a sample/runway dress, it has been worn by a model but never a bride. I'm an architect/designer and quality of material and detailing is extremely important to me. I've never seen a dress like this- gorgeous fit and flare silhouette that gave me hips I never had before, simple but powerful details. I'm heartbroken that I can't wear it, but hope there's a petite woman out there with a sophisticated sense of style that gets Carolina Herrera. "Constance" is modern, glamorous, elegant, and unique gown.   The material is ivory silk Mikado- it's luxurious and lightweight but has enough stiffness to flatter and hide imperfections- it's not at all "clingy".  It has a semi-matte sheen that photographs beautifully- you don't get the glare that one gets from shiny fabrics.  The gown is structured with boning, which along with the contoured seaming flatters and adds drama, particularly accentuating the hips.    The sweetheart neckline has a satin detail that frames the top of the gown with a flourish of sheen.

The back of the gown has silk buttons from top to the bottom of the train- they're decorative only.   It closes with a zipper.

The dress also already has a gorgeous French bustle, so no need to pay to have one added.

Alterations

This is a size 2 petite. The height was altered to 5'4" to fit a model, at which time the bustle was added. There's at least 3" of hem at the bottom to add height.

There are no stains but the dress needs to be cleaned as it's been tried on in the showroom. One of the buttons on the back is loose but there are no missing buttons. Upon very close inspection, there is a 1/4" -long crease on the back of the dress near the buttons below the waist. It will likely come out when steamed, but even if not it's completely invisible when wearing (I and my friends inspected carefully when wearing it and never saw it) and also is covered by the bustle.
