The Dress

This gorgeous, blue tulle wedding dress is the perfect combination of alternative and classy. I fell in love with this dress from the moment I saw it. It is different and unique, while still remaining elegant and timeless. It was my absolute dream dress!

The handmade, 3 layered skirt features silk, soft tulle, and hand painted organza. It has a silk, spaghetti strap bodice, with a removable lace overlay. The lace top gives it a classic, delicate look, while you can also wear it without the lace for a more modern, casual look. The quality and attention to detail of this dress is outstanding.

The dress is an AU size 10, and I usually wear an AU size 10-12. I am 165cm tall (5'4) and wore flats with the dress, so I had it taken up by about 3cm. I have a D cup bust, and am very self conscious of my stomach - this dress hid my insecurities perfectly, and I felt beautiful in it! It was so comfortable to wear, and surprisingly light. The length of the train makes you feel like a princess without being too over the top - it didn’t get in the way, and it wasn't a problem at all for roaming and dancing throughout the day and night.

I think this dress would fit an AU size 8-12 with some small alterations, and due to the open back, it could fit either a small or a large bust. Although I had it taken up so that I could wear flats, I don't think it would be too short for someone around my height, or even slightly taller to wear heels, due to the layers and the train.

There is a small tear at the hem of the tulle layer, approximately 5cm long. This could be easily fixed, but you honestly can't notice it at all because the dress is so layered and textured. There are no other signs of wear - it is still as stunning as the day I bought it. The dress has been dry cleaned in Oakleigh, VIC.
