The Dress

Wendy Makin ‘Britt’, designed and handmade with care in Australia from the finest fabrics. Beautiful ivory lace with white silk lining. The dress has a stunning shear neckline and short train, both with scallop detail. The back has a v-neck with zip hidden by pearl buttons. The belt was an addition and can be easily removed however completes the elegant style of the design. The bodice is fitted and boned.

My measurements were; Bust: 32 inches (81cm) Waist: 25 inches (65cm) Hips: 33 inches (84cm), there was room to move around waist and hips, shoulder to waist (overbust): 42cm, waist to floor: 105cm, shoulder to floor: 147cm.

Sizing matched Wendy’s Size 6, usually a size 6-8, no alterations, hemmed at final fitting (wore low heels). Ribbon attached underneath dress to bustle and hook to hold up train when walking. I felt beautiful in the dress, it is very comfortable and I was able to leave down the short train all day and night for the reception.

The dress is in excellent condition and has been dry cleaned and boxed straight after the wedding. I would love for another bride to wear the beautiful gown that bought me so much joy, and many compliments on such a special day.
