The Dress

I absolutely fell in love with this Gwendolynne gown as soon as I tried it on. It was $4790 new, but I felt like a million dollars wearing it! This dress deserves to be worn again, rather than sitting idlely in its box! It is absolutely amazing and so many people commented how unique and beautiful it is!

It is also light and comfortable to wear. I am a standard size 10, though the tag says size 10/12. I am 5ft7in in height - about 172cm - I also wore heels that were 7cm high on the day.

The 'Deco' dress is one of Gwendolynne's most stunning creations. It includes her signature style of Art Deco influences while remaining soft and ethereal in silhouette. Lovingly made in Melbourne, Australia, the gown features a combination of pure silk, crepe satin and poly tulle falling from the bodice.

The dress includes beautiful capped sleeves and detailed hand beading across the front and back with a stunning low-cut back. The back also features a vintage inspired clasp designed by Gwendolynne positioned at the neck to create a soft and elegant line.

The gown also has a lovely train that can be bustled up underneath to allow for ease of movement during your reception. Finished with a row of pearl buttons down the back and flowing into soft folds of tulle forming two peaks behind you as you walk down the aisle.

Unfortunately, no doubt while ripping up the dance floor, I managed to create a rip in the tulle at the back of the dress. It could certainly be repaired by replacing that panel of tulle or just stitching it up. Honestly, as it hangs down amongst many other layers of tulle at the top of the train, it is not very noticeable. I actually had no idea my dress was ripped until I was contacted by the dry-cleaner!

I had the dress professionally dry cleaned for $450 by Gwendolynne's preferred dry cleaner- Ferrari Wedding Gown Cleaners. I will provide evidence of this, along with their care instructions.
