The Dress

Style 8753" silk crepe sheath wedding dress with a deep V-neckline, Chantilly lace bodice, and sweep train- designed by Hayley Paige for Jim Hjelm

I purchased this dress at a sample sale for $2500 from $4500. I wore this for my ceremony only and changed into another dress for my reception. I purchased an overskirt from kleinfelds for $400 and it is available for $200 if you’re interested. The overskirt is a very light nude and the beading matched perfectly with the dress. The overskirt gave it a very soft romantic feels. I have had the dress dry cleaned and pressed. It was so beautiful and I felt it was sexy but still tasteful and so romantic!

Alterations

Very minimal hem of the front of dress but did not hem the train. Also the bodice was too large toward back- you can see in the video link on the model - my tailor took it in so the back of dress lays flush to my back. I’m 5’6 and was around 128 lbs wearing 3.5 inch heels. Felt the dress was still slightly too long.
