The Dress

This 2018 Belle Et Blanc Helena gown is a fit and flare beaded dress with lace overlay, low back, sweetheart neckline, overlay skirt with 1.3 m train.

This dress is truly gorgeous. The beading caught the light so well and I have never felt so glamorous before. It is really structured and has boning throughout the dress so you feel very supported. Surprisingly it was really comfortable on the day (I didn’t expect this as I have always been a believer in beauty is pain.) I also loved that I could have a couple of different looks with this dress. On the day of the wedding, I started out with the removable skirt on for when I walked down the isle - to give it that dramatic look I was after - but after we had had exchanged our vowels and walked off to pre-drinks I quickly touched up and took it off to get the party started with a more sleek and sexy fitted look.

I’m truly saddened at the thought of having to sell it as I only got married in Feb 2019 but all good things must come to an end as my husband and I are moving and don’t have space to safely store it.

It has just been dry cleaned and ready for its new gorgeous bride-to-be.

Alterations

1. Additional push up cups
2. Removed the corset back tie up and opted for decorative buttons instead with internal zip
3. Lowered the back for a more romantic look
4. Added an overlay skirt that’s removable with extra beading and extended the length of the skirt to match the length of the dress
5. Increased the side of the bust by 2cm (my husband is very tall and didn’t want any boob spillage when reaching to put my arms around him
6. Took the dress in length wise (I’m 60 cm tall and was wearing 10 cm high heals.)
