The Dress

This is a timeless piece of work that was simply amazing on my special day. It is a high quality designer gown that is no longer available as Australian designer Johanna Johnson has ceased doing bridal.

Description: From the favourite Hero Collection this Johanna Johnson ‘The Hepburn’ gown in ivory silk satin with exclusive hand crafted Swarovski bridal belt waist detailing and full flowing train makes a stunning impact. This timeless gown features a sweeping v-neckline and back with additional Swarovski embellished jewels on the shoulders for extra drama! This gown evokes a 1920s Great Gatsby style which is both sexy and sophisticated! The heavy pure silk cut on the bias drapes beautifully. The ivory silk has a sheen that catches the light in the evening reception and shines in the sunset at golden hour. I chose to keep an extra long train, however it comes complete with a finger loop to pick up the train as well as a bustle if you'd rather not carry it. Matching delicate tuelle veil is also included.

Sizing & condition: After dry cleaning there is some minor marks/discolourations on the train however the hemline could be easily altered by any dressmaker to remove. I am 172cm tall & wore mid height heels so there is plenty of fabric to shorten if needed. I am normally a size 8 & altered the dress to ensure it fit perfectly - I would suggest a 10 or 8 consider this dress to allow for any minor alterations that may be required.

This is an incredible opportunity to wear an Australian designer gown. It was originally made to measure for the previous owner. I had it altered by an excellent tailor in Bondi Junction who worked carefully with the delicate 100% silk fabric to ensure it fit perfectly. I would happily refer you for future alterations as you can trust her with the delicate material.
