The Dress

Created by the talented Sonia Cappellazzo in Melbourne, this dress is made with fine french lace and hand beaded. The dress is ivory with nude tulle underneath.

I found this dress on Stillwhite and fell in love with it immediately. The long sleeves and silhouette give it a classic and vintage look, while the semi-sheer fabric keeps it modern and sexy.

There are buttons and loops to bustle the long train for dancing. The dress also comes with a delicate removable silk belt that can give the dress two slightly different looks (not in the photos because I forgot to wear it!). The long matching veil is also included.

I'm usually a size 6 and my measurements are: bust-83cm, waist-66cm, hip-80cm, low hip/bum-87cm. The original bride's measurements were: bust-82cm, waist-69cm, low hip/bum-91cm. The fabric doesn't have much stretch so you will need to be around this size.

Stillwhite is such a great way to get an amazing couture gown at an affordable price, and it's also a much more sustainable and environmental option. Although it will be hard to part with, I can't leave this dress stored away. I'd love for it to make another bride feel as amazing as I did.

The dress has been dry-cleaned by Australian Bridal Cleaners, who are recommended by top couture labels like Pallas Couture. It's in great condition with no marks. There are some loose threads from the ends of the beading but there are no loose or missing beads.

The dress comes wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in an acid-free wedding dress preservation box.
