The Dress

I purchased this dress from a Stillwhite seller in the spring of 2019 and absolutely loved it! The fabric is amazing, a mixture of lace and tulle. This dress never showed any wrinkles, even after being transported in the car for multiple hours, or after I sat in a trolley on the way to our ceremony, it always looks smooth. This dress is also not clingy at all, especially because it is not tight around the hips. No shapewear needed!

The top has sheer lace above the bodice. The bodice is pleated tulle. The bodice has boning and size B cups that were added by the previous owner and worked for me as well. The skirt is multiple layers of tulle with lace underneath. There are still several small hooks sewn into the underlayers of the skirt that bustelled the train (I had the train removed). The back has a zipper closure around the bodice and buttons that extend to the top. I am 5 ft 6 inches and wore the dress with flats. For alterations I had the dress taken in a small amount at the waist and had the shoulder seams let out (the previous owner had them taken in). In addition to removing the train, I had the whole bottom hem trimmed a bit to remove most of the small tears or holes.

In terms of wear and tear, this dress has been worn a total of 3 times (once by the previous owner and twice by me) but is in excellent condition. There is some minor pilling on the bodice as well as minor pulls or tiny holes at the hem of the skirt. When I first got this dress I obsessed over this small imperfections but realized that I was really the only person who could see them, and in the pictures you can't tell that the dress isn't new!

I am so happy with my decision to buy a used wedding dress and I hope that this wonderful dress finds another happy bride-to-be!
