The Dress

The dress is stunning and really quite comfortable, and hope you'll consider it for your own.

The dress is flattering on several body shapes because of how it drapes. There is an inner charmeuse slip connected to the outer lace-and-bead shell; the lace is more of a flourish and not floral. The slip comfortably draped over my size 4 top, size 6 hips and full-thighs (and full belly after dinner!), and the shell smoothed everything over. I was very comfortable walking, dancing, sitting, and never felt restricted. The shear lace back has buttons up the length of the back, and is the only area I needed a little help. I am 5'3" and wore 4" heels and the dress still came pretty close to the ground. Without additional hemming, I would recommend this to anyone roughly my height or a few inches taller. The dress is technically a sheath, but because of how it drapes, it might also satisfy someone looking for a fit-and-flare or not-so-poofy A-line.

The dress is in great condition with minor flaws. There is some fraying by the underarms and train where the dry cleaner removed stains.

Alterations

There are several alternations that make this dress unique. I had shortened the hemline, and my alterations person did this really cool scalloping to move around the lace! Additionally, the sleeve length was hemmed from cap to sleeveless. There are cups sewn in already and can be replaced, if needed. Lastly, there are actually 2 (over) bustle hooks: one has this nifty lace cover, and the other a little higher up in case I had planned on removing my heels.
