The Dress

A simply stunning dress that I LOVED for my big day! The dress is not quite the original Nina; the bodice on the original (pictured on the model) was a nude/blush bodice layered with the white tulle embroidery layer. I opted to have it made with the bottom layer as white as well, so it looked more like a cohesive dress than a top/skirt. The top is still slightly sheer as you can see - I wore nude pasties on the day but it would be really easy to slip some cups in there if you wanted. The straps were taken in for me and have the most beautiful but subtle beading on them which is still in perfect condition - I was worried they would come away as the day went on but they're still hanging in there!
The dress has also been altered to include a bustle button so you can button it up to dance the night away. This was my favourite part of the dress - it looked so sleek and elegant for the ceremony, but when the tunes came on I had no problems strutting my stuff AND I even managed to use the bathroom on my own!
Another note would be that I opted to cut out the clothes hanger straps out - we just couldn't find a convenient spot to tuck them away without them ruining the line of the dress.
For my body I came up between sizes (8-10 UK or a 4-6 US) so it was made as a size "9UK" or a "5US", apart from my waist. I have a more athletic figure, and don't have much in the waist or boobs department, so there are an extra 4cms on the waist that can be easily nipped in. I stand at 5'8" or 172cm and I wore 8.5cm heels for the wedding.
The dress has been professionally cleaned and has come back perfectly. All that would need to be done is that the two flowers at the back that sit just slightly off your back would need to be starched so they stiffen up a bit and sit flat.
