The Dress
Lovely 100% silk dress with lace detailing and a chic bow. The skirt has built-in pockets! It's not super heavy, and truly very easy to wear. I wore it for my Debutante Ball in San Francisco in 2011 and it worked perfectly for both the presentation/photos and dancing the night away! I included a few of the debutante photos for a view of the dress looks on a person as opposed to just on the hanger.
You can remove the tulle petticoat underneath if you're hoping for less of a full skirt.
Tiny fray spot on the bodice (pictured) and small, barely noticeable discoloration on the top edge of the bodice (also pictured.)
Alterations
We had the train removed and had bra cups sewn in. We had small straps added (easily removable) and customized the back to add a small v-shaped cut out (see pictures!) We also added tulle petticoats underneath to give the skirt more of a ballgown look.
