The Dress

From the designer's website: A beaded, v neck wedding dress with spaghetti straps.

The Sara dress is made with three layers of lightweight off-white tulle for a full and flowy skirt with an extra long train. In the front, cream beaded lace layers on taupe satin for an easy v neckline that feels soft against the skin. Meanwhile, in the back, cream beaded lace layers on a disappearing taupe mesh creating a cheeky illusion and tasteful open back.

Minimal boning combined with a hard waistband, spaghetti straps, and taut mesh give structure and support. Skirt length measures roughly 46” at the front and 80” with the extra-long train in the back. This dress can easily be shortened using an experienced bridal tailor.

Alterations

I had the dress custom made by the designer to have the lining extended to the end of the train. I am 5'5 and the length has been altered to just touch the floor with 3 inch heels on so it could accommodate someone who is 5'8 wearing flats etc. I also had a wrist loop added to the underlay.

I wore the dress once for our mountain wedding. It is very lightweight and romantic with a train for days. I had the dress professionally dry cleaned but note some light spots on the underlay didn't come off. If you are a fan of the original dress without the extended underlay or alter it shorter you could potentially cut off any signs of wear at all. There is also a very small tear in the tulle towards the bottom from a twig during our photoshoot but you would never know unless you went looking for it because there are 3 layers of tulle! I should also add that the clasp on the back is loose. Not a big deal but I want their to be no surprises. The dress has been priced to reflect these items. It is such a beautiful dress, it really does deserve to be loved again. I'm motivated to sell. Make me an offer! :)
