The Dress

I bought this dress which was made to order in January 2019 for my wedding this past July. Of all the dresses I tried on, this one felt comfortable, and a perfect combination of luxurious and relaxed. The silk skirt is incredibly soft - I loved how the fabric fell and made me feel. The beautiful lace top with an open back made it a bit more romantic, while still feeling modern. We were married at a french estate style stone barn in the country, and I felt like the dress fit the venue perfectly.

I had the dress brought in slightly to fit my waist, but the fit generally isn't too tight, which keeps you feeling comfortable. The dress is actually all one piece though it looks like a separate top and skirt. The train has a bustle to tie it up if needed.

Amazingly, the only marks on the dress following my wedding were on the hem/bottom of the train. It has been professionally dry cleaned, with some stains on the hem and train remaining. As such, this would be perfect for someone shorter than me, who would hem those bits off anyway.

I love the dress, and am selling it for sustainability reasons - I've got some lovely pictures in it as memories, and would love to see it go to a new home! Happy to answer any questions/send more photos as needed.

Alterations

My dress was slightly taken in around the waist and hips, and an additional sheer layer was added under the lace top to hide the backless bra I wore. It was also hemmed to my height (5 foot 9, in 2.5 inch heels) with a medium length train.
