The Dress

From Spell website: Odette is a beautiful stretch silk with embroidering detail in neutral tones. It features a plunging low back and scalloped embroidered detail along the train hem. This gown is elegant but daring and fits so beautifully, skimming over the body like a dream. This gown is versatile and would suit almost any location, be it chapel, city, sand, elopement or garden.

I brought this dress in April this year (2019), I picked it up from Auckland NZ (here is the original link of the sale: https://www.stillwhite.com/129106-spell-designs). It is size XS - the measurements are also on the Spell website.

The dress is absolutely stunning, I tried it on and it was an impulse decision to buy because it was perfect (and affordable). However somehow in a matter of 6 months I have gained a tiny amount of weight and its just enough that I've decided to buy the size up.

Dress comes with original bag, its in great condition no marks. I love this dress so much and am still wearing it on my wedding day in a month (just the size up!). I am a size 6- 8 in dresses and this dress is true to size. Like I said, I do fit it fine... I just prefer it a little looser.

Alterations

The dress had been altered: bra inserts fitted so no need for nipple covers or silicon cups. They're very thin cups so don't alter your shape. The hem was taken up a couple of cm but I let it out to its full length.

The straps were altered so that they could be worn straight down (see photos), the fastenings had been removed. So you have the option now to wear it either straight down, or criss cross - a very simple alteration, literally a few stitches (it is currently in criss cross position). The small train has also been fitted with a loop to go around your finger so you can walk/dance without stepping on train and there is a small ribbon inside the dress where you could tie the train up if you wish to wear it all night.
