The Dress

Carolina Herrera Mason Gown from Fall 2016 collection, purchased from the David Jones Bridal Boutique in Sydney.

An impeccably crafted silk-mikado ballgown which showcases your best assets with plunging V-necklines and a wide, inset waist. This dress will have you feeling and looking like a princess on your wedding day, and is comfortable meaning you will be able to wear it throughout the day and night.

The Mason Gown is one of the last designs done directly by Carolina Herrera before announcing her retirement. It has been professionally dry cleaned and has zero stains, pulls, or rips. The hemline has horse hair to keep its ballgown shape and is a beautiful ivory colour. The best part is, it has pockets!

Alterations

I was very lucky to only need very minor alterations on the dress. Alterations included very small adjustment to the shoulder and shortening of the dress. No adjustments were made to the waist. No french bustle or soft cups were added - so the dress is still largely a blank canvas and you can choose whether to make those alterations. Alterations cost $800.
