The Dress

This dress is in pristine condition in Vintage Rose with minimal silver accents. It pairs beautifully with ivory or blush accessories. Despite the silver accents, it still looks wonderful with gold jewelry or hair accessories. This dress is lightweight and comfortable, no itchy beads to irritate your arms. The lace is an appliqué over satin fabric with layers of tulle at the bottom. The pattern of the lace is designed with seams to enhance an hourglass figure. I’m an apple/pear shape, and this dress gave me an hourglass shape that I couldn’t believe! The corset back makes it easy to conform to small differences in sizes and body shapes.
I bought this dress at a local bridal boutique. It was a sample they were discontinuing, and I was only the second person who had tried it on. It fit me perfectly, so I purchased it that day! I had been dreading dress shopping because of my size, but this dress made me look and feel amazing. Callista specializes in plus-size and curvy dresses, so they are all made with our bodies in mind. There is a ton of built-shapewear, so you probably won’t need to add your own. The top also has a large strap inside that hooks around like a bra strap, so the dress isn’t going anywhere. No worries about having to pull the dress up all night.
I ultimately lost 25 pounds right before my wedding, and it was too late to try to alter this dress for me, so I wound up purchasing a different dress to wear for my wedding. This Callista dress has been professionally steam cleaned and just waiting for someone to wear it down the aisle!

Alterations

The dress was hemmed slightly in the front to fit me at 5’7” wearing 2 inch heels. As hemmed, it did not show my shoes at all. I also had a French bustle added.
