The Dress
My bespoke dream dress was made by the Cape Town designer Elbeth Gillis and during consultation with her I decided on a classic, white, Chantilly lace and raw silk/dupion dress. It has an a-symmetrical dropped waist and 3/4 sleeves; V-neck with crystal beadwork on the bodice.
When I look back at the photos now, I still remember feeling breathtakingly beautiful, classy and timeless in my dress and hope that someone else will have as much pleasure as I did when wearing it!
Some special things that I love about my dress is the silk and lace flowers on the hip, the delicate beadwork on the neckline and the beautiful buttons on the back - not to mention the swoosh of the slightly longer tail on the dancefloor!
