The Dress

Exuding true 'Old Hollywood Glamour' the Lolita gown in ivory and champagne is designed with a boudoir bodice and is accented by exposed boning. It is layered in shimmer tulle and embroidered motifs with a long illusion train overlay.

The Lolita gown was part of the 2018 Melissa Diaz for Christina Rossi collection retailing at $3500 plus alterations. It is a real show stopper with it's gorgeous curve-hugging silhouette, sweetheart neckline, beautiful lace detailing and its subtle sparkle that runs throughout and onto the long illusion train overlay. Bombshell is how I would describe the feeling of being in this dress.

The Lolita gown was worn only once on my wedding day, 25th of May 2019 and was promptly professionally dry cleaned post the wedding through Syndal's Bridal Dry Cleaning in Glen Waverley. It is in perfect condition ready to be loved by someone else.

Alterations

Fitting and Alterations:
Constructed as a bridal size 2, the dress was made to my body measurements, roughly an Australian size 6 and I had the dress made to measure to my height (148cm)with 10cm shoes on (158cm)so as to ensure all delicate lace detailing was preserved. It is 45.5 inches from the neckline to the base of the hem.
On manufacture I opted for an invisible zip with the lowering of the back by 2 inches. Closer to the wedding date the hips were let out slightly at Alterations by Christina Rossi and an easy to use button bustle was added.
For reference the way the gown was constructed allows for some extra material on the sides for if you need the gown to be made either tighter of looser for your optimal fit.
