The Dress

One of a kind British-made silk organza dress by Lyn Ashworth.

With this dress you get two in one: an A-line dress with a strapless sweetheart neckline corset, which also comes with a sheer eyelash-lace top with boat neck and 3/4 sleeves which can be added or removed. I wore it with sleeves in the day and strapless in the evening, adding a sparkly belt for a bit of bling!

It is backless but the clever internal corsetry means no bra is required - a must for many brides including myself (and very difficult to find when shopping around - hence this being a one-off)

I am 5’8” and wore 3.5 inch heels so there is plenty of hem for tall girls or can be taken up to suit anyone shorter.

Size-wise, I am normally a UK size 12 but did lose weight for the wedding so this dress is a 10. I’ve included a picture so you can see how the dress is done up - this is the only bit that will need to ‘fit’ you as the skirt is free-flowing, light and billowy and will suit any shape.

Was professionally cleaned immediately after the wedding and stored in acid-free tissue in a wedding dress box.

I want someone else to enjoy this dress as much as I did - I had so many compliments on the day and even now when selling people have said ‘but your dress was so gorgeous’! It deserves to be worn and not stored away in a box.

Full disclosure: there is a small mark on the front right of the waist of the dress - message me for details or photo. Could be covered with embroidery or stain removal attempted (or just left as is - it’s not that noticeable!)
