The Dress

Anya sequinned gown by Karen Willis Holmes.

Purchased from David Jones in February 2019 and worn as my reception dress at my October 2019 wedding.

Professionally dry cleaned at a cost of $350. The dress is in like new condition, with no stains or tears.

You are welcome to try on at Redfern, Sydney on weekends. If you are not in Sydney, Karen Willis Holmes has boutiques in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, and is stocked by boutiques across Australia and NZ.

I am also selling the Genevieve Overlay (picture 4) by Karen Willis Holmes for an additional $350 (RRP $590), which I have not worn but had professionally dry cleaned after I purchased it from another bride on Still White who wore it on her wedding day. It is in like new condition with no stains or tears. Genevieve is made to go over Anya and allows you to have two looks for your ceremony and reception.

Alterations

I am a pear shape and typically wear a size 8 on the top and a size 10 on the bottom. The dress is labeled a size 10, but has been taken in around the waist to fit a size 8 on top. The dress has a stretch lining so it will also fit varied sizes.

The dress has also been hemmed to fit 170 cm or 5 foot 7 with shoes (I am 163 cm and wore 7 cm shoes).

Other alterations made were:
Straps shortened;
Bust cups added (removable); and
Bustle and wrist strap added for dancing.

These alterations cost $800 and were done by a professional tailor.
