The Dress

I bought this gorgeous beaded and sequinned full length gown from the Rachel Gilbert warehouse sale last year to wear as my reception dress last month, but decided last minute not to wear it. It is a size 5 (Australian size 16) but I would say it's closer to a size 14. I had some alterations made to it last year (described below) and it could easily be altered to a smaller size again. It also has plenty of length left to have it hemmed more (I'm 174cm and it still drapes on the floor).

When I purchased it the zip had caught on the lining and a few beads and sequins were missing (hence why it was at the warehouse sale!), but I had both of these things repaired when the alterations were made (you can see in the last picture where the lining has been sewn). I also have a bag of spare beads and sequins if needed.

The knotted waist and slit at the front give this dress such a glamorous feel. It's listed as silver, but I would describe it as closer to a bronze grey.

Alterations

- Zip/lining repaired
- Taken in at the shoulders
- Taken up on one side (see third picture) - this was at the recommendation of the seamstress and was done instead of hemming
