The Dress

Allure Bridals wedding dress, style 9162 in ivory.

Label says size US 6 but I would say it’s an Australian size 8-10.

It was 'new-with-tags' when I wore it on 26 November 2019 for our ceremony. I then changed into an Anna Campbell dress pretty much immediately for our reception, so it’s only been worn for a couple of hours and is in immaculate condition.

I wear a size 8-10 and have a 70cm waist (when I pull my tummy in!) and it fitted me really comfortably. As long as the dress fits you on the waist, then your hip size is not really an issue with this dress.

I had it dry cleaned immediately after the wedding and have the receipt and the original carry bag, the dress came in, too.

It’s a beautiful dress and I’d love to keep it but I need the space in my wardrobe (so I have priced the dress to hopefully sell quickly!) and would like you to have the opportunity to wear it on your special day. It is still for sale in shops new for $2,450 - or more, depending where you go. You can view more photos on Allure Bridal's website. We have no pets and are non-smokers.

Alterations

There have been no alterations to the length (I’m 165cm but wore 10cm heels). The only alteration was to put a dart in near the neck as it gaped on me slightly, which could be undone. I haven’t undone this as it may be helpful to you but the tailor who did it said it can easily be unpicked without causing any damage.
