The Dress

Stunning unique style Mikado silk off the shoulder dress. Figure hugging and very flattering but stretchy and super comfy to wear.

Measurements are approximate, as it was tailored to fit me. I’m 5’4 without heels (I wore 4’ heels on the day). Usually a size 8, but sometimes a 6-8 on top and an 8-10 on the bottom, and I’m a 34B.

I tried on about a thousand dresses before finding this one as I wanted sleeves but not lace, which was surprisingly difficult to find!

Worn once for my wedding day for about 6 hours. There aren’t any obvious marks that I can see, but the train has dust marks on the underside which would come out with dry cleaning (or would be removed completely if you had it taken up).

I had three loops sewn in so the train can be worn up, but I think one of these has come off so would need replacing if you wanted that option.

*Update as of 06/07*

The dress has been sent to a specialist to be dry cleaned and boxed for storage. It’s expected back in around eight weeks so will be available for shipping from around mid-September.

Alterations

Length altered to fit me (5,4 with around 4 inch heels). The seamstress also tweaked the shoulders to make the dress sit better and took in the waist and hips to fit me. Also loops added to take up the train if required.
