The Dress

Classic Suzanne Harward dress purchased for my end of June 2019 wedding.

It is a handmade dress made using the highest quality Silk fabric with bespoke hand sewn bead and lace features and cost over $10,000 brand new (the price of the material alone is more than the asking price). The high quality of the material and the way it was created makes all your movements feel beautiful. The carefully designed bustle will enable you to dance and move with ease at the reception whilst maintaining it's unique shape. This dress was not designed to require a hoop or corset which makes it very comfortable, there is a little weight to it but it does not feel heavy.

The back of the dress was originally buttoned but to reduce pre-wedding weight stress I had it changed to a corset back by PQ fashions in Brisbane City who specialise in Wedding Dress alterations and they did an amazing job. I still have the original buttons to go with the dress in case the next owner wishes for a different look. No other alterations to the dress was necessary.

I am 169cm with shoes and the dress was a perfect height. The dress is 106cm from the bottom of the dress to just under the hip where the corset starts. The length of the corset is 40cm and the strap is 12cm from the top of the corset. As it has been changed to a corset back it is versatile in terms of the size but would ideally fit a standard Aus size 8-10. The bra cup size for this dress designed is for a C cup, though I am a D cup and it still fit wonderfully.

It has been beautifully dry cleaned by Leon's Fine Dry cleaning for $465 ready for the next lucky bride, I was told there were some minor marks but I have looked for them and cannot see them. The dress comes with the original matching 2.3m veil and the shorter "blusher" veil.

I am the second bride to wear this dress. The previous owner is still happily married since 2016 and my marriage is going strong so it is definitely a lucky dress for any superstitious brides! ;) As much as I cherish this dress it would be the biggest shame to box it and keep it in a wardrobe, this dress was made to be seen and to make you feel like and look like royalty on your special day.

Postage to any other state is easy to arrange but it will be at your expense.
