The Dress

One of a kind, 100% silk Ian Stuart bridal gown.
After purchasing this Buenos Aires gown I had it altered (by an expert London studio) to create an asymmetrical neckline for a more architectural look. (Somewhat similar to Reese Witherspoon's 2020 Golden Globes dress from Roland Mouret.) The dress itself is very flattering and creates an amazing hourglass shape. Interior boning provides great support, even for a larger bust, and it stayed put throughout the night.
The ivory, ruched silk was a perfect fit for a late summer wedding in the Balearics, but it would still be structured enough for a city or countryside venue.
The original size was UK 12, but has been tailored to probably the equivalent of a UK 8 (US 4).
The bust fits a 32E. Waist is about [removed]cm). Hips at the widest point about [removed]cm). I am [removed]cm) but wore the dress with 3” heels and later flats, and while the dress was hemmed for the heels, it worked with both.
The gown has been dry-cleaned by expert bridal dry cleaners Terrington Burchett (the only official cleaner for Ian Stuart dresses) and there are no marks or stains aside from one small mark on one of the inner lining layers – not visible when wearing it. One of the small buttons on the back is missing a fabric cover, but there is plenty of fabric in the layers of the dress for this to be easily replaced.
I felt beautiful wearing it and had an incredible wedding - I really hope that it can be part of someone else’s special day!
