One Day Bridal CHOSEN Broome Gown

This was my absolute DREAM dress! Classic, comfortable, flattering and stunning … I received so many compliments on my wedding day about how elegant the dress was. I wanted something modern and simple, that I would look back on in years to come and still love – and this dress does absolutely that and then some!

The dress is One Day Bridal’s Broome style gown from their CHOSEN range in "natural" (off-white as opposed to stark white). Made from One Day Bridal’s famous and flattering bonded georgette fabric with a luxurious satin lining – this dress has a plunging neckline, “V” shaped back and stunning (but not overwhelming) train. The dress gives you an hourglass figure and hugs in all the right places – all while being super comfortable.

I am 170cm and wore 5cm heels on the day. I am a size AU10 and a C cup – the dress has built-in cups and you will feel totally secure so no bra is needed. I also did not need to wear any shapewear on the day, the dress fabric is extremely flattering.

Worn at my wedding in February 2020 and has been professionally dry-cleaned by Syndal’s Dry Cleaners in Melbourne. It is in perfect condition.

I’m so sad to be parting with my stunning gown, but it’s far too beautiful to keep in a closet and I know that another lovely bride will enjoy it just as much as I did. If you’ve been dreaming about a One Day Bridal dress, but questioning the price tag, look no further. Save your money and the planet and trust that a “second-hand” gown will look just as fabulous as one bought in a store (and as a bonus already comes with alterations that cost hundreds of dollars!)

Alterations

The bulky padding from the shoulders has been removed (much more refined and flattering now), and I used the talented Heather Sellick Bridal Couture to get the gown nice and snug, lower the back into a sharper “V” and make a thin (removable) belt from the same gorgeous georgette fabric.

We also added two delicate finger stalls so the dress can be elegantly held in either your left or right hand.
