The Dress

This dress was so wonderful to wear on my wedding day, it made me feel beautiful and was so comfortable. It has been made ethically in Nepal, where the women who have had made it have been paid fairly and have a great relationship with the designer of the dress.

The outer of the dress has been made from silk woven with hemp. The inner of the dress is made from cotton so is comfortable next to the skin and breathable, perfect on the wedding day so there is no stickiness if sweating occurs.

The dress has been dry cleaned. It had a bit of mud on the bottom from the wedding day (as photos were taken in the grass!) but this has been removed and cannot be seen on the dress now. It has a slight tare of fabric on the very bottom right hand side (about 1cm by 0.5cm). Some stitching has also been added to the bow so it could be attached to the dress.

I wanted to keep this dress as it really is so special to me however I truly want someone to get the same joy out of it that I did so I have kept it safe in a clean breathable bag since I got married on 5/10/19.
