The Dress

Gorgeous Louise Bentley Liliana 50's tea length wedding gown from her 2017/18 collection.

This is a really beautiful dress made from rich ivory silk and delicate soft lace with scalloped hem and sleeves. The fabric is of excellent quality so the dress looks stunning (even under the flash of a camera) and it's comfortable to wear. The lining, waste band and neckline (with a gorgeous little bow) are all silk. There's a tulle under-skirt, a lace overlay and button detail on the back.

I absolutely adore this dress! It fit perfectly and as mentioned, the fabric is of excellent quality so I found it comfortable and breathable. The delicate neckline and lace, along with the tea length make it a very flattering style and it has a built-in bra so no bra straps in sight(I'm 36DD and didn't wear one)!

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in excellent condition. Our wedding started at 4pm so it was only worn for an evening and therefore has no marks or stains.

Alterations

I purchased a size 18 because the 16 was no longer in stock and could not be ordered for me. The dress has therefore been adjusted to fit me and I am a size 12/14 (wedding dress size 16). I had a couple of layers of tulle removed which I can include for re-attachment if needed. I also had a small pocket made in the under-skirt for keepsakes :)
