The Dress
Purchased from Angela Wilson in Sydney as the Australian stockist for Amsale in 2012, made and shipped from New York. The Reese is a silk faille A-line gown with a low sweetheart neckline and crystal beaded insert. The waist rouched and the skirt has a sweet train.
The dress was amazing to wear, elegant, comfortable to wear for the whole day, has pockets, no bra required, and has a little button at the back to lift the tail to allow for clearance from the ground.
The dress was worn once on our wedding day, and was immediately professionally dry cleaned by a professional wedding dress dry cleaner. It has reminded carefully stored and clean in a storage box since then, and is in excellent condition.
Alterations
- Lengthen straps by 1 inch
- Unpicked and hemmed all layers of gown and returned outer layer
- Inserted cups into bodice and unpicked and taken in through CB and reinserted zipper
- Extra 3 inches of length added to gown
