The Dress

This modern classic dress was beautifully made by Karen Willis Holmes and purchased from the Alexandria store for my wedding in 2019. The fabric is so luxurious and flattering and photographs so perfectly. The dress is fitted but not skin tight and was very comfortable to wear.
I knew I wanted a wedding dress that would be timeless in my photographs and I was so happy I chose this dress. The dress features a structured, fitted bodice with a removable belt and a low back. I had the V neck of the bodice lowered a little as I thought it was more flattering. The paneled skirt is form fitted but not tight to allow for freedom of movement and a stunning statement train that can be easily bustled for dancing later in the night (pictured in dancing photo).

This dress has been professionally dry-cleaned. There are no marks or stains.

Alterations

I am generally a size 8 bust/ waist and size 10 hips and the dress has been made to these sizes. It would best fit someone this sizing or a size 8.
Soft cups were added to the bodice to provide some extra support and structure. The V neck of the bodice has been lowered slightly and can be seen in the pictures.
