The Dress

This is a Matthew Christopher dress that I purchased; however, it has never been worn or altered. The size is a 10. I am a size "0", and I've listed my personal measurements, but have not had it altered to fit me. As you see in the photos the dress is big on me. If you've tried on wedding dresses, you know that they often run small. I would say that this dress is more like a 6 or an 8 in street size and can definitely be altered to fit anyone below a size 10. It is made of a beautiful, high quality, 100 % heavy silk, with a tulle overlay, which is covered in delicate, little cutout handmade, tulle flowers, strategically sown onto the bodice area. The tulle is gathered on one hip and ruched in the front. The shape of the dress when on, creates a slight bustle affect. This was the first dress I tried on at the shop I brought it from, and I was like "Wow!" I really liked the shapely affect it added to my figure. It's really a beautiful, lovely gown. I am selling it because I brought this dress early in my search, and later found another dress that was more suitable to what I needed, and would not require major rebuilding (I needed something that was more covered). In addition to the regular alterations, I would have had to make to this dress, I would've had to build the dress up around the top and back, which would have changed the whole look of the the dress. If you like a vintage type, yet modern look, you will love this dress.
