The Dress

Hi!

I had 2 criteria for a wedding dress:
1. Looks good
2. COMFORTABLE

This was the lightest, most comfortable wedding dress.

I had seen too many friends as brides walking around stilted like robots, pulling their strapless dresses up, struggling to sit comfortably, not being able to eat the food, getting extremely hot and sweaty in their spanx and not enjoying their day.

I was SO happy with this dress on the day. Looked great and was so comfortable.

The top has cups inbuilt which gave enough support as it was, so I didn't have to worry about straps showing through and to have the full illusion of the back being sheer as if the lace and beading was imprinted on your back. Also... A- Line is a dream skirt. No "suck-em-in" pants underneath, flows well and great when you do a dramatic spin on the dance floor!

I have toyed with the idea of keeping it but I am not sure when I would actually wear it again... it is a wedding dress after all :)

So, in the spirit of passing it on to someone else who might love it as much as I do and enjoy their day as much as I did ...without having to fork out all of the cash for that 7 hours of your life... I am listing it for sale.

Alterations

I am 175cm tall and I wanted it to touch the ground but not require massively high heels to get away with wearing it. So I have taken up the retail length skirt (which required 9+inch heels for my height) to where it skims the ground now in bare feet at the front (and is still longer at the back).
There should be plenty of length in the skirt to take it up more for bare feet or get the heels out without breaking an ankle.
The seamstress also mentioned that you can pull in the porcelain tulle on the bodice if you needed more lift or it to be tighter at the back.
