Regretful sale. I bought this dress on still white for approx $1500AUD and then paid a further $900 in international courier, import taxes and charges, and GST bringing it in from the UK (documentation available). Total spend around $2400.
I adore this dress and couldn’t find anything as elegant, sophisticated, and dramatic in Australia for a winter wedding. Im honestly devastated but I will not fit it for my wedding due to pregnancy. My loss is your gain.
Dress was about $4000AUD when bought brand new. It was worn once for a wedding and dry cleaned. I have tried it on at home twice on clean carpets using gloves.
Here is the actual listing of the bride I bought it from for $1500AUD so you can see the photos of it on a size 12ish body rather than a tiny model. I also have screenshots of the dress on various sizes that you can see on Google to get a better idea of it’s shape on various body types :)
This dress on previous bride:
Although the previous bride suggested it could be a size 14, I’m 165cm and 67 kilos, I consider myself a true size 12 and it fit me snug. It did not fit me in the months after the birth of my first child when I was 74 kilos and an AU size 14.
Elegant and majestic flared design with full skirt with train in plain Mikado. Its body has long sleeves and a high neck in tulle with floral appliqués embroidered in thread and embellished with gemstones, which merges at the center of the back into a line of buttons that descend over the hips and half-way down the skirt.
Colour: off white/light ivory
It has great boning, I have a heavy bust (12E) and it held me up nicely without anything when I tried it on.
“It was only let out by 0.5 cm on each side around the waist (that's 0.5 cm on each side of the fabric which means in total it is now 2cm wider around the waist than the original size).
The slip skirt (the very bottom layer) was shortened so that I don't step on it but the tulle layer and the top layer of the dress itself has not been touched at all.
A loop was added so that the train can be attached to the back of the dress after the ceremony. The loop is still there, by some miracle.
Nothing else has been altered but I have cut the hanging strips of the dress so that they didn't show when I was wearing it.
Also, it has pockets!”
