The Dress

A modern classic. Elegant and timeless. The perfect “simple” dress for someone who isn’t into lace, beading, tulle etc. but wants something more bridal than just a white slip dress.

I felt confident and comfortable in this dress, and it photographed so well.

The thick waist band really cinches you in at the waist – you’ll look snatched. Fit-and-flare cut gives you a sleek hourglass look. The back has a low V-cut but is still classy – ends about mid-waist. Silk covered buttons go down the entire back of the dress down to the hem. Deep V at the bust with shaped cups, so it should suit any sized bust. (I’m a small B but there was space in the front and I wore removable padding).

It’s Mikado silk, a more substantial/heavier silk which is form-fitting and smooths out your curves, while still having that luxe silk look and feel. Super flattering.

The train was easily manageable, so I didn’t bother with a bustle or wrist-loop, but you could add one if needed.

Worn for a 2-hour park ceremony. Dry-cleaned. Originally bought new from a bridal store in 2020.

Alterations

Hem taken up. Straps shortened. Inside lining cut to mid-thigh length so it wouldn't be visible when I lifted the train up or moved around.
