The Dress

You will look classic, beautiful, and polished in this amazing Oscar de la Renta gown. I purchased it in November 2013 and wore it for my wedding in July 2014. It was stunning, comfortable, and flattering on my body type. Despite this gown being from the 2014 line I think it is timeless and a 2021 or 2022 bride could pull it off as well.

The gown has an amazing and detailed lace embossed pattern throughout. It has an internal and external back zipper for stability.

It is an incredibly unique piece to be married in, and I hope that next person that chooses it feels as much joy on their big day as I felt on mine!

Additional photos or details can happily be provided on request.

Alterations

The top of dress is a strapless sweetheart neckline; However I wanted a more modest look so I purchased a partially see-through lace bolero and had it sewn on backwards to cover my chest, back, and shoulders. It is fastened in the back with individual buttons. You would not know that the dress received this big of an alteration unless you were told- the seamstress at Ultimate Bride did an excellent job making the entire piece look seamless! I do not know if there is a way to remove the bolero without damaging the dress; if you are interested in that I can check with the cleaners or bridal shop where it was originally purchased.

The dress brand new was $7,990; the bolero was $2,290 hence the total price below.

It is a little challenging to move your arms fully with the shrug, but I managed.

There were also minor alterations done on the hemline and waistline.

The dress has an internal bustle system for the train that would need to be repaired-- all the pieces of it broke off while I was shaking my thang on the dance floor!
