The Dress

I’d always envisioned wearing a classic, Audrey Hepburn, vintage inspired dress so couldn’t believe my luck when I found this one. Designed by Allure Bridals, the style 9155 usually comes as a full length ballgown with a train but was adapted to be my dream tea length. It:

- is ivory in colour

- has a lovely embellishment on the front of the waist

- has an A line silhouette and full skirt with a petticoat (which not only flatters your curves, but is so much fun on the dance floor!)

- has a fitted bodice with cups so you don’t need to wear a bra, but don’t have to worry about any accidents

- has hidden pockets so you can discreetly carry anything you need

- has capped sleeves that sit slightly off the shoulder

- has a V neck3 to show off your décolletage and back

I felt absolutely beautiful in this dress and couldn’t have been happier with it. I hope whoever buys it will be too!

NOTE:

1) The label says size 18 which is the street equivalent of a 14. I am a size 12 with a D cup so had it taken in and fitted. I am ~174cm tall and my current measurements are likely to be slightly bigger than they were at my wedding last year.

2) This dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and I can provide you with the certificate to evidence it. However, there is a very subtle stain they couldn’t remove (which you can’t see unless up close) on the bottom of the skirt. One of the buttons on the back is also missing, but as they’re small and only decorative it could either be replaced or disregarded altogether. Please contact me if you would like pictures.
